Saffron coffee,
roasted with care

About our café

Wood-fired fish, hand-rolled pasta and vegetables from farms we know by name, cooked with patience and served without fuss.

We opened in 1998 with twelve tables and one simple idea: cook what the season gives us and treat every guest like family. The room is bigger now, but the menu still follows the market and the bread still comes out of the oven every morning.

“

We came for an anniversary dinner and stayed until the last candle went out. The saffron risotto was the best thing we ate all year, and the team made us feel like old friends.

Eleanor Whitfield

A rare place where the cooking is serious but the room is relaxed. Every plate tasted of the season, and the wine pairing was spot on.

Marcus Delaney

Sunday brunch on the terrace is our new tradition. Warm bread, perfect coffee and staff who remember how you like your eggs.
